Bayer Medical annouces that it will launch a spot-on medicine against ticks and fleas for dogs in February.
"Fortreon(R)" shows the superior effectiveness against biting fleas, ticks and mosquitos.
"Fortreon(R)" has the following three features:
1. It repels and kills mosquitoes before they can bite.
2. It repels and kills ticks before they can attach. This helps reduce the risk of disease transmission.
3. It stops fleas from biting in less than 5 minutes and starts killing within an hour.
The active ingredients of the product are imidacroprid and permethrin.
This is the same product as K9 Advantix distributed in the U.S.A.
